The lighting fixtures used in the contemporary urban interior design tend to serve for smaller spaces, with lower ceilings, specific to the past 50 years architecture in Romania. Thus many choose ceiling lamps, wall lights or spotlights to overcome the elevation issue, there are solutions and situations in which we may successfully use suspensions. As a rule of thumb, ceilings that are higher than eight foot should have a hanging light, something that can become a centre piece in the room while offering ample illumination when you need it most. Also, the non-passing through areas can enjoy a suspension in contemporary style mounted at a medium or lower level - for example, over the counterop, the dinning table or the working desk.
